Household Members

Published on May 15th, 2025

To promote fairness in the game, it is now possible to register households – that is, players who play from the same household (e.g. family members).

Registration is very simple:
On the website, under “Options,” you’ll find the new section called “Household Members.” There, you can enter the player numbers of the affected accounts and submit your request.

Restarting the Dark Forest

Published on May 6th, 2025

When you're in the forest, certain actions trigger the creation of an Audio file – for example, when you hit orcs with your bow. These audio files include pre-calculated events such as kills, which are also saved directly in the system.

Until now, it was possible to interrupt the playback early and immediately restart it to gain additional kills more quickly. This behavior is now restricted:

- If you stop the playback too early and start it again, the system will detect this.
- Your knight will still walk through the forest, but won’t encounter any enemies or score any kills.

This block lasts for as long as the original audio file would have played. If the forest is exited right at the beginning of an audio file, the block may last for several minutes accordingly.

The purpose of this system is to ensure fair and consistent progress in the forest. This adjustment prevents players from gaining an unbalanced number of kills by rapidly interrupting and restarting audio playback.

New Seasonal Tower Reset Rule

Published on March 6th, 2025

Starting this season, we are introducing a new rule for the tower reset. The tower has always had a maximum of 1000 floors, and last season, players finally reached this limit. Originally, the tower started at floor 750, but going forward, it will be reset to 950 at the beginning of each season.

Why are we doing this?

1. Keeps the Challenge Alive – Players can still push to reach floor 1000 every season, keeping competition and progression fresh.

2. Better Season Comparison – The highest floor reached each season will show how strong the knights are and how competitive the season was.

3. Prevents Stagnation – If the tower just kept increasing endlessly, it would eventually become too difficult for most players to stay competitive.

4. Balanced Growth – This approach keeps progression fair and ensures that newer players are not completely left behind.

5. Potential Special Reward – We are considering adding a special reward for defeating Azrael at floor 1000, making it an exciting seasonal goal.

This change allows the tower to remain a dynamic challenge while giving players a meaningful way to measure their strength and progression each season.

Troll Cave Accessible Again

Published on February 7th, 2025

The maintenance work on the Troll Cave has been completed, and it is now accessible again.

Due to licensing changes, some sound files had to be adjusted. As a result, certain sounds may now be slightly different from before.

Thank you for your patience. Good luck exploring the depths of the Troll Cave!

Temporary Dungeon Closure

Published on February 4th, 2025

Due to technical difficulties, the dungeons are closed until further notice. We are working on a solution and will update you as soon as they are accessible again.

Thank you for your understanding!

Registration & Rewards

The registration fee is 1000 diamonds.

Every participant will receive a treasure chest with a key at the start of the next season. Additionally, the top 3 will be rewarded with an exclusive, cross-season pet.

The first-place winner will also receive the prestigious title for the next season: "The First Knight of the Kingdom," recognizing their outstanding performance.

The exclusive pet is not only a loyal companion but also gathers resources, providing a strategic advantage. As the pet is soulbound, it remains permanently with the player and requires regular care to fully utilize its abilities. In the future, the pet's abilities are planned to be further expanded, offering even more strategic opportunities.

The top 3 winners of the tournament will be excluded from all future King’s Tournaments. This ensures that each season gives new and ambitious participants the chance to rise to the top and win the coveted prizes.

Tournament Mechanics

The King’s Tournament is based on a fair and active game system, rewarding only those who actively participate. Points can only be earned through attacks and victories. Inactive players will not earn points and risk being overtaken in the rankings by more active participants.

All bonus attributes are disabled to ensure equal chances for all participants. Battles rely solely on tactics, strategy, and the courage of the knight.

The point system is dynamic, balancing large point differences between opponents to ensure an exciting and balanced tournament. Players who engage actively have the opportunity to climb the rankings and emerge as one of the best.

Depending on their placement, players will receive a customized number of order points, which can significantly influence the order rankings at the end of the season.

The King’s Tournament will begin in February 2025, shortly before the end of the season.

Christmas cookies bug

Published on December 22nd, 2024

Due to an error, the Christmas cookies were tradable at different times this year, which was not intended. Since we cannot undo the gifts that have already been made or the trade agreements that have already been completed, we will make the cookies tradable again this year so that everyone has the same opportunity. The error has now been fixed, and from next year onward, it will no longer be possible to gift or exchange the cookies in the interest of fair competition.

Major Changes and Innovations for Season 13

Published on November 14th, 2024

For the upcoming Season 13, we’ve planned a range of exciting changes. Only by trying out new ideas can we continuously evolve the game and provide you with the best possible experience.

Since Season 13 brings a particularly high number of new features, we’ve decided to shorten it slightly. This will give us more space for targeted testing and feedback to determine which of these changes prove effective and which we’ll keep permanently starting in Season 14.

Thus, Season 13 will run from the end of November until March 1, 2025. Starting with Season 14, we’ll introduce a permanent structure with two fixed seasons per year: the first from March 1 to September 1, and the second from September 1 to March 1 of the following year. This way, events like Easter and Christmas will always fall within their own season, and other recurring events can reliably occur at set dates.

This fixed structure brings many advantages: for you as players, the year becomes more predictable, as you can rely on a consistent rhythm of content and events. For us as developers, this clarity simplifies the planning and implementation of new content and allows us to prepare seasonal events in a targeted way.

Since we’ve focused on the numerous updates for Season 13, the release of the “Ghost Cliffs” will likely be postponed to Season 14. However, work on the new dungeon and rewards continues to ensure that the “Geisterklippen” are presented in top quality.

At the end of this post, you’ll find a list of the most important changes we’re implementing in Season 13.

We’re excited about the upcoming updates and look forward to seeing how you’ll experience these changes!

Key changes in S13:
- New ELO system for awarding glory points
- New matchmaking system for selecting potential opponents
- Introduction of new battle arena leagues (A, B, C, D, E, F, G)
- New damage calculation formula
- Adjusted difficulty level in the Troll Cave
- Hunt leaderboard now sorted by hunt points instead of kills
- The Düsterwald is divided into three zones, and orcs now appear based on the chosen zone instead of personal level
- Adjustments to the Blacksmith
- Adjustments to the Order Hall
- and much more

King’s Tournament

Published on October 30th, 2024

To all knights,

As the season comes to a close, we are hosting a small, two-week tournament where you can demonstrate your skills and equipment under fair conditions. In this special tournament, only your base skill points and equipment will count – all bonus attributes are deactivated.

This tournament also serves as a way to test the upcoming new Elo system, matchmaking, and the updated damage formula. Since adjustments may be made throughout the tournament period, this round is solely about glory and honor – the winner will receive an exclusive title, but there will be no additional rewards.

If the tournament is well-received, we plan to host it at the end of each season – with unique rewards available nowhere else. These special prizes will highlight your status as outstanding knights of the kingdom and grant you long-term recognition.

To participate, simply say, “Start Tournament Fight” – you’ll automatically be registered for the tournament. Registration is also possible at any time during the tournament. Additionally, you can follow your progress and that of other players on the leaderboard on our website, where you can track both points and rankings.

The tournament begins on Friday, November 1st, at 7:00 PM German time. Good luck, and may the best knight triumph!

Since the release of our latest update, we’ve received a lot of valuable feedback. Two points were highlighted most frequently:

- The reduction of items in the Dark Forest
- Unlocking bonuses from past seasons

We would like to sincerely thank you for all your feedback, creative ideas, and numerous examples. After careful consideration, we have decided not to implement these changes as originally proposed.

Although we believe that reducing items in the Dark Forest and slowing the unlocking of bonuses from past seasons would lead to better balance and a more engaging competition in the long run, you’ve made it clear that these changes are currently not desired. We take your concerns seriously, especially those about potential impacts on gameplay enjoyment. Therefore, we have decided to step back from our initial plans and keep both the item quantities and the unlocking of bonuses as they are — even though we believe these changes would have long-term benefits for the game.

New Adjustments

Additionally, the dragon and the plagues in the forest will no longer completely prevent knights from going on wolf hunts. However, there will still be a chance that the dragon or the plagues might scare off the wolf before it can be struck. This adjustment was also made based on your feedback to make the hunting system more dynamic and challenging.

Looking Ahead

We are aware that an imbalance or surplus of certain items remains a challenge. To address this and promote greater diversity in the game, we plan to introduce new recipes. These will allow you to make better use of excess items while offering exciting new opportunities.

Even though bonuses will continue to be unlocked using the existing system, we are confident that the new Elo system for arena battles in Season 13 will revitalize competition, making fights more exciting and dynamic. This update aims to offer both new and experienced players a more challenging and engaging arena experience.

Thank you again for your continued support and dedication!

Major Changes Announced for Season 13

Published on September 24th, 2024

For those of you following our devlogs, some of the upcoming changes will already be familiar. We are working hard to balance and enhance the game for both small and large players alike. While a few adjustments have been made during the current season, the most significant changes are set to take effect with Season 13. This news will give you an overview of the planned changes.

What's changing in Season 13:

Order Hall

  • Increased Costs: The upgrade costs in the Order Hall will be increased, as progress has been too rapid in the current season.

  • Daily Donation Limit: Each player will have a daily donation limit to ensure that the order is not dependent on just a few top donors, encouraging all members to contribute to the upgrades.

These adjustments will ensure that the Order Hall remains challenging and important throughout the entire season. Very active orders will still be able to gain an advantage through continuous donations.

Dungeons

  • Difficulty Adjustment: The difficulty in normal mode will be reduced, allowing more players to complete the dungeons. Heroic mode remains the same, while the Legendary mode will get 2–5% more difficult with each new cycle.

  • New Content: The Ghost Cliffs will likely be released during Season 13.

Dark Forest

  • Fewer Items: The number of specific items found in the Dark Forest will be reduced to restore game balance. Too many resources have caused items to lose value, and this adjustment aims to make each find more meaningful again.

  • Wolf Bait: Wolf bait can no longer be placed when a dragon is active or during an orc plague.

  • Material Adjustments: The materials for crafting wolf bait and the wolf coat will be changed to make them harder to obtain, balancing effort and reward.

Combat Arena

  • Bonus System: Instead of unlocking 3 old bonuses, only 2 will be unlocked, along with an additional "Deadly Accuracy" bonus for each skill point assigned.

  • Damage Calculation: The damage formula has been adjusted to strengthen defense, which was previously disadvantaged by the "Deadly Accuracy" bonus.

Opponent Selection and HonorPoints Distribution

  • New Elo System: The honor points distribution will switch to an Elo-based system, making point gains and losses fairer. If the point difference between players is too large, no points will be awarded for a victory. The maximum points remain capped at 25 (50 on Double Thursdays).

  • New Opponent Selection: Opponents will now be chosen based on their honor points rather than their leaderboard rank, increasing the pool of potential opponents for most players and reducing the risk of large players losing many points to smaller ones.

Note: These changes are substantial, and not all effects can be fully anticipated. If it turns out that certain adjustments (e.g., reduced item drops in the Dark Forest) have too great of an impact, we will adjust drop rates accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your feedback!

This list is not exhaustive and covers only the major changes planned. All information is subject to change at any time.

Update: Province Battle Results Correction

Published on September 17th, 2024

We’re thrilled that the recent Province Battle was so close and exciting! As soon as the battle ended, the winner was announced on Discord. However, due to an error, players were able to continue handing in tokens after the battle concluded, and these tokens were incorrectly added to the final score.

When reopening the game after the battle, the total score displayed showed Meridian in the lead due to these extra tokens. The issue has now been fixed, and tokens submitted after the battle's end will no longer count.

At the end of the official battle time, the Lazarus order was in the lead and is declared the winner.

Changes at the fair

Published on August 15th, 2024

Dear Knights,

To ensure a fair and balanced experience for all players, we will soon be making a small adjustment to the probability of winning bonuses at the fair. This change will only affect a very small number of players who use an exceptionally large number of tickets at once.

What’s Changing?
Starting from the 50th bonus won at a fair (per week), the probability of winning additional bonuses will gradually decrease. This means that it will become increasingly difficult to win more bonuses after this point.

Why Are We Doing This?
Our goal is to maintain a balanced and fair experience for everyone. This adjustment prevents a small group of players from collecting an excessive number of bonuses by using a large number of tickets. By doing so, we ensure that the game remains challenging and fair for everyone.

Who Will Be Affected?
The vast majority of players will not be significantly affected by this change, as most typically win far fewer than 50 bonuses per fair. This means that your gameplay experience will remain largely unchanged.

In Summary:
This change helps us ensure a balanced and fair game for all players. We want to make sure that everyone continues to enjoy the game while also having a fair chance to rise to the top.

We appreciate your understanding and support!
